I have no doubt this will be the software others will model after.They are always several steps ahead so you don't have to worry about what's coming up next on the MU horizon.

I hate computers so It's great having someone to call and fix something asap.Their support is their best feature!
What needs work?
There are some minor things which they constantly fix and upgrade.

What do you like?
Simply put, the software works. The exam portion is intuitive, easily customizable, and all-emcompassing. I cannot offer enough praise to their customer and technical support teams. Their response is almost immediate, to the point that they make me feel like I'm their most important client. They listen to input from the doctors and the software platform makes it easy to receive individual updates as they occur.
What needs work?
Because of all the energy spent in reconfiguring the software to meet Meaningful Use and doctor usability requirements, updates to the software have been slow in coming...especially in the area of document scanning. Since certification was achieved, the updates have been more forthcoming and I fully expect to be "paperless" in the next six months time.

What do you like?
activEHR represents a clinical tool, not just a digital record. The software is built on a robust medical industry database. Integration with e-Rxing is seamless. Integration with my local instrumentation (Topcon AR/AK, Kowa fundus camera and automated lensometer) is great. activEHR represents a combination of industry-leading technology and content.
What needs work?
The financial reports could benefit from continued refinement.

activEHR

Even though activEHR is totally revamped than when I initially signed on I could not be happier as those changes have focused on making a very user friendly product that will meet current meaningful use standards and beyond. The redesign of the software has taken much longer to put to use than what I originally hoped for but I feel like the wait is well worth it. After the first 3-4 days of "going live" with the EHR in our busy practice my most critical partner(in regards to computers in general) stopped by my door and said "this is not anywhere near as bad as I thought it would be". The coming phases of more in depth report generation and a financial reporting package that will put the practice management side of EMRlogic in a class by itself are all reasons that I am glad I have stayed on board with EMRlogic rather than jumping from one EHR to another like so many doctors do.

Equipment integration, customizable exams(4 doctors in practice), total solution, "To Do" List, strong Cache database
What needs work?
Input speed is making improvements and is already much improved over initial activeEHR build. Finalizing the full report generation capabilities

What do you like?
I have used 2 prior software programs and this one is by far and away the best of all. There are 3 modules which integrate smoothly from the front desk to the pretest to the exam and back to the optical and checkout. The activehr was created from the ground up without the usual drop down boxes cluttering the exam form. It is smooth and clean and intuitive.
What needs work?
Some of the financials are not exactly what I would like to see but that is all.
