Filopto great Optometry software, ease of use, great to manage my office.

I have used Filopto for over 9 years and have watched it steadily improve. I can really manage my insurance claims, creating, sending them automatically, and correcting errors is easy with Filopto.
Filopto is great and continues to get better.

What do you like?
The Scheduler is the Key, and Filopto does it best. All data flows from here to the EMR and insurance Claims. Filopto listens to user suggestions, and they frequently update and incorporate them when feasible into the next update/upgrade.
What needs work?
Back up is is easy, but it would be better if it was automated.

Accra/Filopto EHR system is wonderful!

I am very happy with my EHR system. Unfortunately I do not have anything to compare it with, however when I was first doing research on the different systems, Filopto was the only EHR that fulfilled all my needs. I am a sole practitioner and I do have an optical. I needed a system with EMR's as well as a way to perform inventory, scheduling, billing and have an employee timeclock which has the ability to connect to my quickbooks. It has so many features that we have yet to touch on. We seem to learn something new everyday. It is very user friendly and it is windows based.

I do highly recommend this system because it is most definitely all encompassing for all the requirements we had. If there are any needs (which I cannot imagine) that are not fulfilled by this system, technical support will bend over backwards to help you out.

1.User Friendly!
2.The main positive feature I am terribly pleased with is their technical support. They are not only more than willing to help, but they do everything in their power to find a resolution. They have actually created programs for my needs. The only drawback to their technical support is that they are on a different time zone (2 hrs ahead of us), which makes it difficult when we have a problem late in the afternoon (of-course, this is no fault of theirs).
3.Caters to my needs!
4.Amazing reports for inventory, billing, scheduling, employee time clock, etc.
5.Credit card transactions performed through our software, thereby eliminating a need for a credit card terminal.
6.EMR can determine what is the best E&M code based on evaluation performed by doctor (thereby potentially increasing your service fee).
7.Educational handouts included in system.
8.Web scheduling (was initially created for my needs).
9. Easy work flow.
10. Cost is very reasonable for all the features it provides!

What needs work?
1.Updates seem to wreak havoc on our systems.
2.May consider providing information with the updates as to what specifically is being changed, instead of a generalized statement of "alot has changed."
3.Another disadvantage is that it is not easy to print up records when other doctors have record requests. I need to copy and paste the EMR screen onto Microsoft word and then print them up from their.
