Cyclops EHR

Our practice did quite a bit of research before choosing Cyclops. We were (and continue to be) impressed with the clean, uncluttered look of the screens. However, the main selling point was the support we receive.
I feel we are treated with professionalism and respect. Our suggestions and input are incorporated into the system when possible, which makes it seem almost "customized". I like the fact that we have dedicated staff to help us; they have come to know us and how we run our practice. In today's business world, that personalized attention is rare, but very welcome!

I like knowing that my staff and myself can contact the Cyclops staff and talk to a representative who knows optometry and is always helpful and friendly. Excellent customer service! The program was easy for a non-computer doc like me to pick up right away. Billing and e-prescribing are a snap. I was able to use the system to fit my practice needs and as my practice has grown, Cyclops has made it easy to be efficient in my exam, recalls,payroll,inventory,and in our billing. I felt it was a very good value for my money. I also like that I can integrate retinal photography and visual fields into the patient chart. I was nervous at first to go paperless, but now the staff and I would be slowed down so much if we had to go back to the old days of paper charts and billing. While on vacation, I had two doctors fill in at my office and both liked the Cyclops system better than the EMR systems at their offices. This was the best EMR system for my office and I am so glad I chose Cyclops.

The Cyclops EMR system has everything I was looking for in an electronic medical record system. The team at cyclops made the transition from paper practice to paperless painless. Anytime I needed assistance, the staff was
easily accessible. James and Julian are very knowledgable about setting your practice up on Cyclops and made it easy to learn.

I like how the eye examination section acounts for any test an Optometrist would use yet how it is set up in Cyclops, an Optometrist can move through the exam quickly.

Cyclops is a very user-friendly EMR. I trained my staff in 3 hours and they became very efficient using the system.

Generating an eyeglass sale and contact lens sale is easy and quick.

Autobill is a great feature. The Optometrist performs the exam and at the end of the test, the system will suggest the procedure code that best fits the amount of work you did for the patient. At the click of a button, a claim is sent to the insurance company to receive payment for your services. This is the easiest billing has ever been for me.

Cyclops is a certified system to recieve the bonus money from the government over the next few years. Cyclops makes it very easy for you. After an exam you perform on a patient that qualifies for the government program, you just answer 1 to 3 questions about the exam you did. That little questionnare along with the patient claim is sent to medicare and is applied toward receiving government re-imbursement over the next few years.

I like in the exam section that you have an easy retinal drawings section that other EMR's didn't offer. You can also transfer info from retinal cameras, visual fields, HRT's GDx etc into cyclops with ease.

Inventory of frames takes some time to enter in the system if you have alot of frames to enter. Once teh frames are in the system, very easy to keep track of frame inventory. Also easy to track contact lens inventory if you keep revenue boxes at your practice.

The layout of the appointment book is amazing and very user-friendly. So many options for your staff in the apppointment book to account for many scenarios and yet quite easy.

The ledger page to keep track of the services the patient received and what they are expected to pay you is also easy to use. Well organized and easy for your staff to use and understand. With the cyclops ledger, easy to keep track of what the insurance is expected to pay you and what the patient is expected to pay you.

Overall, I was hesitant to make the leap of faith to convert from paper practice to paperless. If you have a practice that is generating good revenue and your system for your pracice is in place, why change it?

Cyclops organizes your entire practice on their web-based system and makes everything very easy from an exam, patient recalls, to submitting claims, to inventories and even keeping track of employees hours they work each week. Everything your pracice needs is located in one area as opposed to being scattered in different areas with a paper practice.

Cyclops makes sure you stay in compliance with your insurance companies and protects you if you are ever audited. If you leave out part of an exam that is a must for insurances to see, cyclops will have a pop up message suggesting to complete these parts of the exam sections in order to be in compliance with your insurance company expectations. Protects you if you ever get audited.

Cyclops is an overall amazing web-based EMR system and would recommend for any eyecare practice.

I am a new start up practice and have not hired full time help, I like that when I have help I can train them in a few minutes how to make appointments and navigate through the software. So very user friendly. The ease of billing makes my job much easier. I like the efficiency of the technical support department. I have worked with other EHR and when there was a problem it could take a day or two to get it fixed or resolved. Every EHR have there flaws I have worked with Maxim eyes and Officemate, For the value cyclops is great they are constantly improving the software and take into account feedback that is given to them.

the tech support very qualified to handle my concerns. the ease of use in billing makes my job much easier. making appts takes a couple minutes but no more than usual. I like that the doctor explains to everyone that we are a paperless practice. Our optician says easiest thing considering she has worked on office mate and revolution. and likes this system better.
