Excellent Features & Value

Because Liquid EHR is one of the smaller and newer vision EHRs on the market, we have noticed that they work very hard to impress and are extremely open to improving their product. Our take is that at this rate of upward enhancements and with their positive attitude towards making their system better and better, they will soon surpass the "big boys" which currently dominate the market. They are not perfect yet, but certainly a great value and definitely worth considering!

What do you like?
We chose Liquid EHR for it's features, mainly a fully functioning, certified EHR uniquely developed for Optometry/Ophthalmology with outstanding value. Compared with the other vision-centered EHRs, Liquid EHR was far less expensive while still delivering all the features we were looking for. The install was done remotely by the company's technicians on all 11 of our work stations. Afterwards, we had online training sessions with a couple of instructors (one hour long session for the doctors, another for the staff). The Liquid EHR techs converted our data from the previous software (this took a couple of attempts as we were using an old version of OfficeMate which took longer than usual for them to convert). We have now been up and running for approximately 2 months and things are going well. Keeping in mind that ANY changeover to ANY new EHR has a learning curve, our staff and doctors are committed to making this work and Liquid EHR has been extremely accommodating at helping us every step of the way. So far the best features we've found are:
1. easy integration into our existing hardware and network system (we did not need to upgrade our hardware very much at all - just purchased a new, slightly more powerful work station to act as our EHR data center).
2. very easy to use the bookkeeping/ledger module which allows adjustments far easier than our previous OfficeMate system.
3. comprehensive exam data entry with modifiable drop down and memorized field entries.
4. a very helpful, responsive, and knowledgeable support staff at Liquid EHR - usually they respond to our request for help in minutes, not hours or days.
5. the system integrated with WebSystem 3.
What needs work?
As with any "newer" EHR, there are some minor issues that need refining such as:
1. full integration and functionality of lab orders and inventory... this is coming soon.
2. communication and social media integration (like WebSystem3 or Demandforce) from within the program... also coming soon.
3. better compatibility with newer touch screen systems (aka Windows 8 and/or iOS systems).
4. having the capability of exporting patient data in spreadsheet or some similar format for use in other applications (such as creating customized mailings with Word).

All that being said, the support staff at Liquid EHR are very amenable to listening to feedback and working at incorporating these into their system with each new iteration.

Great EHR, constantly getting better

Great software, responsive and capable tech/support department. I like the excitement and eagerness that I get from this company, they are good with customer service and willing to help when asked. I also use compulink in a different office; their support system is clunky and cumbersome by comparison.

What do you like?
I Like the fact that I can easily add options to the drop down list. This makes for fast data entry and treatment/plan entry. I also like the way a diagnosis can be made/established during the exam very easily and efficiently.
What needs work?
First I'll start by saying that Liquid EHR Tech department LISTENS to user criticism and suggestions and makes changes periodically. I would like the ability to copy from previous exam for several exam elements like anterior or posterior segment, and diagnosis/plan lists.

What do you like?
As the office manager of an optometrist office, LiquidEHR made my job much easier. From day one of installation we were fully using the system. We've been using OfficeMate for over 10 years for the financial part of it and was time to convert our charts to EHR. We chose LiquidEHR over our current system because we felt that it will be the easiest and fastest system to learn and implement and it was. LiquidEHR has all the features and requirements that we need; from scheduling to billing to reporting to EMR to the optical side, the system is fully integrated into one system. We are very pleased with this system and highly recommend. Another point I like to make is how great the technical support is. When ever we call, we were able to reach a Knowledgeable person who helped us with our concerns and issues.
What needs work?
We've only been using this system for a little over 6 months and already asked for several features to be added that were included in the recent version. What we are waiting for the ability to automate patient reminders and patient online patient scheduling and registration. We have looked at other systems that could do this like Demand Force, Solution Reach and WebSystem3 but they were very expensive and did not have full functionality that we are looking for. All this is scheduled to be implemented in LiquidEHR in the near future for a more reasonable price.

What do you like?
I'm impressed with the complexity but yet the ease of use of this system. Being a computer illiterate, I was extremely apprehensive in taking on the challenge of converting to EHR. After thorough research, I decided to buy and use LiquidEHR in both my offices and glad that I did. The system is very affordable and has all the requirements and features that I was looking for to completely automate my offices. With no down time for installation and minimal training, the staff and I started using the system right away and did not take us much time to get proficient in using it. Furthermore, the technical support is phenomenal! They are always available to answer any questions and help out with any issue we encountered with the system. We've been using this system for over six months now and things are running smoothly. Best of all, I like the fact that they are constantly upgrading, adding new and exciting features, and keeping up with all of the industry's changes and requirements.
What needs work?
There's always room for improvements. The beauty with this system is that the technical support are always encouraging us to send them our recommendations and requests. So far, all of our major requests and recommendations were included in the last update. I'm extremely satisfied with this system and recommend it to all my colleagues.

What do you like?
Simple, simple, simple. Very user-friendly compared to other systems I've used in the past, I can run through a patient in 10-15 minutes. Also, it was very affordable for a single doctor practice. The customer support is very attentive to my needs. Thumbs up.
What needs work?
The only thing is the patient portal, which I heard is coming in the next few months. Can't wait!!
