What do you like?
The customer support is amazing! They call back within a few minutes and are always very patient. They are normally closed on the weekends but offered to help me on a Sunday when I needed the VA chart done. The System is very user friendly. The Doctors and staff love the system. It was very easy to train on and we have even switched over to a 20 minute schedule within a few months due to the ease of the program.
What needs work?
I am looking forward to email/text reminders in the future for confirmation/reminder of appointments

What do you like?
Liquid made it easy for me to immediately use their EHR in my practice. The initial training covered the bulk of its features, and if we have any issues, help is a phone call away! From the scheduler thru the exam to billing insurance, Liquid has us covered.
What needs work?
Minor things, such as putting in the DOB of the insured under insurance is more difficult than it needs to be. I'm really reaching to find an issue here.

What do you like?
I love the ease of use and the quick transitioning of new staff. I started with one location 5 years ago and introduced Liquid. The staff was functional within a week, easily converting old paper records to a completely paperless office. Staff turnover can be high and all staff members and doctors agree that Liquid is very user friendly. When opening my second and third locations there was never any doubt with her to use. The tech support is amazing. I rarely have problems, with the system, and almost all were unrelated to the software, but support gets back to me quickly. Most problems resolved within and hour. Most of my suggestions have been addressed in new releases. Eye chart is a awesome feature with great "wow" factor for pts. Once adjusted to exam layout it's quicker and neater to work on Liquid then on paper.
What needs work?
It would be great to have a red/green option on the eye chart. You should be able to expand the drawing screens to be able to add more detail. There should be a patient merge or a warning before duplicates are created. Alerts should be dated and should pop-up before allowing access to records.

OK but not as great as reviews suggest

I asked someone using this program before buying, and was told it was OK. I agree, it's OK and economical. For the price I am happy enough. Previously I was working with a program 4 times the cost, so that may be part of the problem. I would recommend this if you need an economical EHR program, if you can afford more I would probably look elsewhere. The biggest question: would I go with Liquid again? I think so, because it's not a large financial commitment. However, it is nowhere near as polished or functional as the program I previously used.

What needs work?
Too many screens for data entry, have to click a lot to enter all data and then have to click to verify your click. Not able to load last exam data into current chart so have to enter all findings and diagnosis codes every time. Can't merge patients if a second patient file created accidentally; no manual for basic instructions and learning new functions; States ERx but you have to purchase a separate program for that. No cloud based available to smaller clinics; several misspellings in pre-loaded conditions and case history, some of which the patient sees.

Excellent Features & Value

Because Liquid EHR is one of the smaller and newer vision EHRs on the market, we have noticed that they work very hard to impress and are extremely open to improving their product. Our take is that at this rate of upward enhancements and with their positive attitude towards making their system better and better, they will soon surpass the "big boys" which currently dominate the market. They are not perfect yet, but certainly a great value and definitely worth considering!

What do you like?
We chose Liquid EHR for it's features, mainly a fully functioning, certified EHR uniquely developed for Optometry/Ophthalmology with outstanding value. Compared with the other vision-centered EHRs, Liquid EHR was far less expensive while still delivering all the features we were looking for. The install was done remotely by the company's technicians on all 11 of our work stations. Afterwards, we had online training sessions with a couple of instructors (one hour long session for the doctors, another for the staff). The Liquid EHR techs converted our data from the previous software (this took a couple of attempts as we were using an old version of OfficeMate which took longer than usual for them to convert). We have now been up and running for approximately 2 months and things are going well. Keeping in mind that ANY changeover to ANY new EHR has a learning curve, our staff and doctors are committed to making this work and Liquid EHR has been extremely accommodating at helping us every step of the way. So far the best features we've found are:
1. easy integration into our existing hardware and network system (we did not need to upgrade our hardware very much at all - just purchased a new, slightly more powerful work station to act as our EHR data center).
2. very easy to use the bookkeeping/ledger module which allows adjustments far easier than our previous OfficeMate system.
3. comprehensive exam data entry with modifiable drop down and memorized field entries.
4. a very helpful, responsive, and knowledgeable support staff at Liquid EHR - usually they respond to our request for help in minutes, not hours or days.
5. the system integrated with WebSystem 3.
What needs work?
As with any "newer" EHR, there are some minor issues that need refining such as:
1. full integration and functionality of lab orders and inventory... this is coming soon.
2. communication and social media integration (like WebSystem3 or Demandforce) from within the program... also coming soon.
3. better compatibility with newer touch screen systems (aka Windows 8 and/or iOS systems).
4. having the capability of exporting patient data in spreadsheet or some similar format for use in other applications (such as creating customized mailings with Word).

All that being said, the support staff at Liquid EHR are very amenable to listening to feedback and working at incorporating these into their system with each new iteration.
