What do you like?
I started my EMR heartbreaks with Officemate and their long hold times and delayed updates. I proceeded to Maximize to become even more discouraged with the limitations of programers at the time and again the long hold times and poor updates. I purchased Practice Director for 2 primary reasons as it was first created. The database is simply the best if you plan on using an EMR in the future. The integration with a internet platform makes it flawless on any system. (I run a mixed mac and PC office. I have run the software at multiple sites and that works well also.) The second reason would be the fact that it comes from Williams Group and has a central design around smart practice management. My previous EMR's had poor financials. The EMR had a poor interface at first but has been redesigned and is constantly updated from their clients feedback. This product is destined to surpass it's competition the older it gets.
What needs work?
Reporting is next on their list along with personal template design... but for now their are a couple data entry spots that are slow and the reports are antiquated.
