Lacks Functionality, Customizability

The software is, at a glance, intuitive. The layout for the exam portion of the software makes sense. However, that's where it ends. Functions are buried in multi-layered and confusing menus, and customization is nearly impossible. The software runs painfully slow and lags at every button push. The main problem at hand is that the software relies on a slow remote desktop connection. The techs will tell you that the speed will vary based on your internet connection, but my internet connection is 48.6 Mbps down and 64.05 Mbps up. My internet is definitely not the bottleneck, and my fully upgraded custom PC is also not the issue. I have been on this for a year, and I'm done putting up with it. The software does its job, but does not do it well- that's the best that I can describe it. It does not enable me to do things that I want it to do such as customizing my letters, the appearance of my prescriptions, and even uploading my logo to be used is nearly impossible- I had a technician do it for me, and the resolution is distorted whenever it prints out. I consider myself quite tech savvy, and I don't see how this would be an option for anybody with less than a moderate to moderately-high ability on a computer. The best thing about this program is that it's one of the cheaper ones out there- but you get what you pay for... mostly. After 1 year, I'm ready for an upgrade, so I'm cancelling my subscription to My Vision Express.

See comments, but the customer service is atrocious. It takes several phone calls to take care of one issue. They tell you they will follow-up, but I think we had one service ticket that was not addressed after 1 month, and even then we had to remind them weekly about our issue. They don't seem to care much about their customers. It's very slow. It's not customizable. It just doesn't work the way that you'd expect a computer program to work in 2016.

Honestly, this is horrible decision that I signed up to go with this company
What needs work?
Customer Service needs SEVERE help. When I call for support, I end up leaving phone message 50 % of the time. When I do get through, the representatives do not know how to help me. Over 70-90% of the time that I do actually get through, the representative have to create a ticket- which means that they have to ask someone else who is more knowledgeable to call me back. It takes them a long time to call me back. I have a ticket I put in on Oct 19th and today is Nov 4th and no one has called me back. In between the dates, I called twice to follow up on the ticket number. The representative say they will move status up to URGENT and have someone call me right away but no one calls. I called them today AGAIN and they said they will move it up to URGENT and I explain that that has been done and they said I will move it to EMERGENCY. Let's see how long it will take until I get a call. I have to say, I have never dealt with such unprofessional-ism.

Central Vision

I wasn't happy before because I would call and I was on hold and no one would call me back but the company has change the past few months. I love the fact the I can call their Customer Service Relation department if things did not goes as plan. The support team right now I give 9 stars and for the Karlene she is just amazing. I would recommended to anyone but do keep in mind you cannot compare MVE with you old system because workflow will change because it is a different system all together.

What do you like?
I love everything about the product because if there is a problem My Vision Express fix the issue I am not going to say that the system is perfect there is no such thing. If I report a problem they submit the issues to their escalation team.
What needs work?
At this port I would say the reports systems need a little bit more work. I was told that they currently working on changing the reports until then I will see if I am happy with the reports.

What do you like?
I love the capability of being able to update & make changes on site rather than waiting for someone else to do it! I love that MVE customer service takes all suggestions & implements them in the best way possible!
What needs work?
I really don't have too many complaints of any issues, MVE is always updating & maintaining their system. Everytime I feel like I have came to a road block they have a resolution!
