UPDATE - OfficeMate v8.0 available for **ONLINE** release

 UPDATE - link is officially up now: http://www.officemate.net/officemate_80update.aspx?

OfficeMate v8.0 is now available, but not as a download.  You must call OfficeMate at 1.800.942.5353 and request a copy.  Apparently allowing a download would cause their support system to become over-burdened. This is not being released to the general OM manner - but if you call, you will get a copy.

What fixes does it have from 7.4.2. Is it worth it, or should we be waiting until they come out with 8.5. It seems each update creates other new problems, so I don't want to jump on this right away.

We have had OfficeMate for exactly one year. I am less than thrilled with this software. Between constantly crashing, poor and sometimes rude tech support, to fixes that don't, I am regretting purchasing this software. I came from OPTO, which was old and kind of clunky. However, it never crashed and did the its job.

I have had OM/EW over 2+ years now. Updates are great but how many can you keep pumping out. Each fixes just a little, requiring you to stick around until they might find the heart to fix the real stuff. 8.0 is better but many of the main issues are not resolved. The people who make OM don't seem to actually know the use of it in a real office setting. I don't think I would purchase it again.
